The Land Down Under

Di sudut hati kecil ku
tipu kalau aku kata aku tidak rindu
pada tempat itu
yang banyak mengajar aku tentang bangun jatuh kehidupan
teringin sekali aku membawa kekasih hati

Kuala Terengganu

3 days 2 nights, from 11-13th of July.

I was pretty excited because this is the first time (exclude childhood) traveling by road to Pantai Timur. I also was super excited because this is actually the first time me and my BFF traveling together, vacationing (exclude the seminar).

BFF has a Conference at Kuala Terengganu and 2 of us just tagged along. Thanks to both BFF for the ride and for the opportunity to visit the city of Kuala Terengganu :)

Day 1. We started off early in the morning. Alhamdulillah everything went well. We stopped by at Dungun to drop off adik ipar BFF. Then first thing we did when we arrived at KT was; service the car. It was actually kind of cool because you need some padding for the car to avoid the car from rusty (air pantai). We did not have that at Klang Valley so I was pretty amazed and the services was good. Around 3p.m we managed to check in at the Citi Point Hotel near Pasar Payang. finding a parking spot here in KT was a bit difficult. I reckon, every city is like that nowadays. In my opinion, KT is a well-planned city, surrounded by many traffic lights and U-turns. I've been to KT, 3 years ago and I found that KT this time is a bit cleaner than the last time I went there. then, later in the evening, we went to Kuala Ibai, near Masjid Terapung where we had our dinner.

It was scrumptious. The best Bukak Puasa so far tapi tak boleh lawan Melaka :P We went straight away to sleep after we watched Juvana basically because KT was dead at nights.

Day 2. We had our Nasi Dagang (bungkus dengan daun pokok pisang) and Keropok Lekor at Pasar Payang but we did not have luck on Kuih Akok. maybe next time. After that, we went straight away to Permai Hotel for the conference.

BFF with her Poster

too scientific

Apparently missing KL

BFF was a bit frustrated by the look at her face. It's okay, everything has to have a first time. better luck next time, insyaAllah. So, we decided to go to Noor Arfa Batik and UMT as a tour.

Pantai UMT

We love each other, dunia akhirat :)

"Si Permai" :P

"Si Pembuli" :P

Sad face for not having to buy anything at Noor Arfa Batik :(

Blub..blub..blub

Luckily,  later that evening, we visited BFF's auntie, we had our dinner and had a very good time :) since I was pretty bored that night, so we played Truth or Dare. overall, we really had fun during a short period of time.

Day 3. The last day at Kuala Terengganu. We did our last shopping at Pasar Payang. I bought Manggis (my favourite) and pretty much that's about it. but I was amazed because when we had our tour at Pasar Payang, there were a bunch of young girls from Jabatan Agama Islam giving advices on Zakat. It was really hard to say goodbye because we were having so much fun. So If you ever come to KT and looking for a budget hotel, Citi Point Hotel wasn't that bad. What I like the most about this hotel is that they have friendly, well-versed in English, Mandarin, Malay person who is pretty much very good at the job. we paid our compound for the parking (they charged us RM5 for parking at buses' parking) and pretty much bidding our farewell at 12 noon.

but on our way back to KL we experienced some bias towards W plate. and I personally think that's not fair. but yeh! nothing is fair in this world, only Allah is fair. We stopped at Dungun to buy our Keropok Lekor at SRI SURA, stopped at Pantai Kemasik for the air kelapa and we managed to stop at Gambang for Ikan Patin and to Solat. it took us basically 10 hours to get to Bangi but I reckon BFF did a great job on that.

I'll always love pantai/laut/sungai/pulau :)

"Ombak Rindu"

It was unforgettable vacation. I hope this is the first and not the last time we had our vacation together. perhaps Redang after this? I love you guys so much and thank you for EVERYTHING! :) Only Allah will re-pay you guys :)

The Land Before Time

I always love traveling. Berkelana di bumi Allah. Probably people would relate traveling as vacation, peace of mind, or perhaps running away for a while from your so called life. I used to think that way, when I have problems I don't intend to solve it, I would really like to go somewhere else for awhile, just for a peace of mind. but now I know that the truth hurts only if you run away from it. I reckon that, you could travel the world but you cannot run away from what's inside your heart. In my case, "What a small world" describes me well. normally where ever I go, I'd meet people who is related to a thing, a place, a person I know or I used to know. Everything would revolve around my small world :)

Alhamdulillah, God's will, on the 6-8th of July, me and my cousin went to Belum Forest, Pulau Banding, Gerik, Perak. It was actually a dream come true because I always wanted to go there and enjoy the forest.

Besides, reciting the Quran, for the peace of mind I reckon you either enjoying the environment or helping strangers. and I am so grateful I've got the chance to do either of that last week :)
---

I've learnt a lot from the Emkay's Green Ranger Movement Convention. One of it was that through education we can educate our youngsters to love our forest. education here doesn't mean, one to one communication, doesn't mean either teaching in classes, you really need to go out to the forest to be able to love and appreciate it. Forest doesn't mean DANGER at all. and letting our youngsters even the old ones to enjoy the forest is the best place ever and it was like heaven on earth.

There, in the forest, you can learn where your water source came from, why we need to preserve our natural resources and why the forest is so important to us in the present and also the future. One day, if we destroy our forest, human will be extinct too and I don't think any of us would love that to happen. so each and everyone of us played an important role in educating people to love our forest.

The best part of the convention was we were able to go into the forest and enjoy the scenery. Subhanallah. The water is forever ph 7 and the clean air and the flora and fauna surrounded and even the native people in the forest and.. yeh! we didn't get to see Mr. Elephant but we can see some foot prints along Sungai Enam. Unfortunately, due to some time constraint, we did not get the chance to go and see the waterfalls.

If you were to ask, I'd say this whole thing "it brings back memories" when I was in UPM. Where we used to go into the forest for amali and camping in the forest for 2 weeks. at that time, I hated the forest but truth to be told "tak kenal maka tak cinta" I fell in love immediately with the forest.

Other than that, being able to mingle around with others, I've got to know other people, from a painter to a well-knowledgable boat man. I was blessed, thank you :)

This is the whole Pulau Banding

This is where we stayed for 2 nights, Belum Rainforest Resort

This is the Research Centre

It is stated that Belum is not "The Land before Time", Belum got its name from; A grasshopper.
---
Thank you for the hospitality, thank you for the warmth welcome, thank you for the kindness, thank you for the care and thank you for EVERYTHING, kalau ada jodoh lagi, till we meet again, one fine day, InsyaAllah.. any takers?

Malaysia's rainforest has so much to offer, and I don't think even YOU have explored it, please do not destroy our forest, please~ :)

Aman Palestin

*At one of kursus in Kuala Lumpur

I couldn't hear him, so I asked my sister who is sitting next to me

"What was it again?"

"Masjid Al-Aqsa lah, itulah beli lagi barang barang Yahudi" she scolded me

*diam*

from that moment, I'd like to go there, pray there...insyaAllah, one fine day

"I'd probably know that they conquer the economic of the world"

"I also know that they'd like to ruin our aqidah by entertainment, fun, and hiburan"

"the fact that I know, and I do absolutely nothing about it, yet support them?"

*diam*

"NO, we're not supporting them by direct, we're supporting our economic of nation"

"What can a 5 Ringgit burger has a thing to do with them booming the Muslim?"

"Ala, leceh lah semua tak boleh, itu tak boleh, ini tak boleh"

"Dekat negara ini, ada ke makanan tak halal, macam tak logik je?"

"Bukankah makanan yang dimakan akan menjadi darah daging kita nanti?"

"If you cannot control yourself from the temptation of the world, at least what you could do is not talking bad things to people who'd like to seek Jalan jalan to Syurga"

"the smallest thing, you think that could not bring any harm, is actually the biggest thing ever"

*diam*
---
one fine afternoon, my auntie called...

auntie: Salam, we just got back from Umrah and luckily we went to Jordan and went to Palestin, I did pray in Masjid Al-Aqsa, Subhanallah, banyak kesan peninggalan sejarah di situ.

me: *jealous of course :P

later that night, daddy came back from Surau and handed me a piece of paper

it stated there "Aman Palestin" and I looked at him as if he can read my mind :)

"Anak anak dekat sana, rata rata hafaz al-Quran"

"Kalau pergi kt sana, mereka tak tanya anak awak ada Masters dekat Australia ye, mereka akan tanya, anak awak dah hafaz Quran surah apa?"

"...and they're in a middle of a war"

"Yeh, we're busy with work and studies, not even we're memorizing the Quran, are we even reciting it?"

"If only we could read the Quran, know the meaning, understand it, and amalkan"

*diam*
---
I read one of the article in the net.

*diam*

Istimewanya Masjid Al-Aqsa;

Aman Palestin Here you could find anything you wanted to know.

We're not in the middle of a war, but cukuplah musibah seperti gejala sosial, keruntuhan moral, fitnah yang berleluasa dan kecurian berlaku di sana sini sebagai peringatan kepada kita.

"Mummy, I'd like to go there, one fine day, InsyaAllah?"

Sorry, I had to write this...the least I could do :)

Tetamu Allah

"This is not what I had planned, this is so much more.."

*speechless*

Sesungguhnya Allah itu Maha Mengetahui. Syukur yang tidak terhingga for given me this opportunity Ya Allah.

*speechless*

No words, for the first time. Of course I'm super duper Happy and a bit scared. but I know, everything will be alright.

Will be leaving this Saturday, 14th of May 2011, InsyaAllah with the whole family.

Ustaz kata "Pertama kali ini hukumnya Wajib". Yes, this is my first time. Jaga hati, jaga niat, jaga semuanya, pray for me. selamat pergi dan selamat pulang, insyaAllah. Minta ampun, minta maaf, halalkan semua semua.

I will try my best.

"...Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase..."

TQ Ya Allah.
Semoga peroleh HidayahNya.

The Land Down Under

These past 2 weeks, I've been bombarded by series of events. some are good, some are like you've been thrown by ice to your face. Ouch! and times like these, made you realized how much you miss the Land Down Under.

Yep, I do miss Perth, Western Australia, Australia sometimes. but I'm not going to blog on Perth nor Australia, but I'd like to say that not only I've got my certificate with me, I tagged along some experiences in life, I could not find anywhere else in the world. and I've been blessed by given the opportunity to explore it.  It's true when they said, you can see Islam in the western countries, because I've seen it myself. I'm not going to brag on Australia, but if you have the opportunity to go out from your country for awhile, you'd realize how fortunate you are to have people that you love surrounding you and the things you've been complaining wasn't that a big of deal, and yeah! Australia is such a nice and beautiful country to visit :) Thank you Allah for the opportunity You've given me.

and of course, when I do miss Perth, besides, keeping in touch with friends and family in Perth, I'd watch this one particular video. and I'd laugh myself out and cried a little. If you happen to know Australia, you'd probably get the joke, and excuse me for the language, hope you'd enjoy the video as much as I do :)

and these few days, I've been following, if you've heard him before matluthi90, he happens to be an archi student in my former Uni, Curtin Uni of Tech, WA, if I'm not mistaken. unfortunately, after watching several videos of him, made me miss Perth, even more.

Ah! I miss Perth! :P
missing Perth leads me to fill up a form that I think would change my life once again. Kalau ada rezeki, ada lah :)

Kalau ada rezeki, ada kelapangan, ada umur yang panjang, go travel and see the world, SubhanAllah, you'll be surprise, what you'll get.

I do love my country very much, don't get me wrong, but...

Oh! fly me to the land far far away, even if it's a dream :)

One fine day, I'll show you, whoever you are, the place that taught me life is freaking hard, but pleasant at the same time. I've got to show Mummy and Daddy last time, this is the place, that taught me things I've now become, this is the place where I used to study, this is the place where I play and eat and go to sleep, this is the place that gives me comfort, this is the place where I'd like to shop..and this is the place I fell in love.

Take care everyone! No worries, mate :)

Malaysia, you've got idea, how much I love you!

But the best part of missing Australia is that missing this kid, from crying, sulking-moments, potty training to now I could jump on her bed and talk girlie stuffs with her. How time flies.

Soul Vacation

Not Really. This time it wasn't really a soul vacation, it's only a vacation, you know, where you travel to somewhere for a short period of time, just to see new environment and trying new things, just to sit and relax and enjoying your stay.

I'll be leaving for Japan on the 26th of December 2010 till 4th of January 2011, for a holiday.

It's Winter! wish me luck! Happy holiday and Happy 2011 in advanced, everyone!

2011 has three hundred and sixty five opportunities to make someone's day! :)
