The Land Down Under

Di sudut hati kecil ku
tipu kalau aku kata aku tidak rindu
pada tempat itu
yang banyak mengajar aku tentang bangun jatuh kehidupan
teringin sekali aku membawa kekasih hati

Shah Alam, 4th Januari 2013
PS bawa aku lari dari sini, sebentar cuma, aku mohon sebentar sahaja...

M41

"M 41"

"Sulit dan Persendirian"

"Buku Pink; Malaysia Kita"

I've never been to any of the M41 exams before in my entire life; believe it or not. Today marked the first time in my life entering the exam hall for the M41 post. Probably people my age has sat for the exams for 5 times, more or less. I've received many invitations for the exam before and for other posts, but I was at Australia at that time :(

I was pretty excited actually even though I'm not fully prepared for the exam today. I've heard so much about the exam, whenever people talked about it, I would keep quiet and listen on how they said it was pretty difficult, about the Pink Book, about chances of people passing the exams or even the interview and also about people just won't give up even though they failed the exams. Secretly I would go to the Book Fair and buy the Pink Book and prayed at least to experience sitting for the exam and today my wish came true :)

I was lucky I guess, because the venue for my exam was at Hall 7, PICC, Putrajaya. It was not crowded, the place was air conditioned and comfortable. Overall, I guess, after waiting for 3 years to sit for the exam, I would conclude that the exam was okay, and yes difficult and yet confusing.

It started at 9 a.m in the morning and it ended at 3.30 p.m in the afternoon. It has 5 sections; A, B, C, D and E.

Section A (60 questions) normally covers General Knowledge and EVERYTHING about Malaysia. Yeh, you can say that I was ashamed to be called Malaysian because I find this section very hard :P

Section B (40 questions) covers on Penyelesaian Masalah. It was pretty easy actually but most of the candidates including me said that we don't have enough time to answer all questions.

Section C (20 questions) covers Pemahaman. They will give you essays in Malay and English; all you need to do is to answer 20 questions based on those essays given.

Section D requires you to write an essay in Malay. they will give you 3 questions, and you can only choose 1 out of 3 and write an essay between 300-500 words.

Section E requires you to write an essay in English. They will then give you 3 questions, and you need to choose only 1 out of 3 and write an essay between 200-300 words.

Alhamdulillah I managed to experience sitting for the exam. Now I know pretty much what they've been talking about :) I really wanted to experience sitting for this exam because most probably I always imagine sitting for this exam has similarity with the olden chinese sit for public servant exam that they showed in television. The ones that get through the exams must be pretty good. oh! I just watch too much television :(

Whatever happens...happens. Wish me all the best  :)

Oh! I've met familiar faces, not only 1 but plenty. some Bangians and also UPMians :) I wish them all the best as well.  I wish all of them, All the Best. Some of them, really wanted to work in government sectors specifically PTD. God's will, insyaAllah :)

Oh! what they normally say "Berkhidmat Untuk Negara" :)

I love you Malaysia, I really do, sorry for not knowing enough bout Malaysia, will try harder next time :)

Luckily it did not happen today :P

Wanita Solehah

"Dunia ini perhiasan dan secantik cantik perhiasan di dunia ini adalah Wanita Solehah"

"Seorang wanita solehah adalah lebih baik daripada 70 orang wali"

Subhanallah

*diam*
---
I love reading about Women. I could not explain why, but most probably because I am too a woman.

Last Sunday We sent Wanie back to school at KKB. When we reached her school, she called me.

"Sister, I know you wanted to learn to dress accordingly to Islam, here's a book that will teach you how, the words are simple according to your understanding"

"I smiled and thanked her. I always look up to her, somehow, she has the ability to give advices in a way that soothes you.  She's good at it. but the way I look at this, if you're the one who is receiving advices, whether you are right or wrong, whether you know or you don't, terima dengan hati yang terbuka. You'd probably already know and Alhamdulillah, you're doing it, take it as ilmu".

I looked at the book. the book is called "Tabarruj". I flipped through, font 12, 79 pages. At the back of my head, I think I know the answer but to make sure I asked her "Wanie, Tabarruj, hukumnya?"

"Haram"
---
On the way back, mama asked me to drive slowly since it was already dark outside.

Things were running through my head at that time;

"I already know the hukum but yet I still commit sins"

"I wear Hijab when I was in Matrix, I was being forced by the Matrix to wear it and Alhamdulillah until now I am still wearing it, but what happen before? after? in between that?"

*diam*
---
"Tabarruj" ialah mendedahkan kecantikkan rupa paras, sama ada kecantikkan itu dibahagian muka atau di anggota anggota badan. seseorang wanita yang memperlihatkan kecantikkan rupa parasnya oleh yang demikian, Allah melarang setiap wanita yang telah berakal lagi baligh dari bermake-up (Tabarruj).

Terlalu banyak pengertian untuk Tabarruj; rupa paras, rambut, perhiasan, suara, wangi wangian, make up...

Allah berfirman;

(Surah An-Nur; Ayat 30)

" Janganlah kamu semua menghampiri  perbuatan zina..." (Surah Al-Isra'; Ayat 32)

Setiap kejadian dari pandangan
bagaikan kebakaran dari serpihan
banyak kerlingan menikam kalbu
kalbu ditikam tanpa panahan
selagi manusia mengikut perasaan
bahaya dihadapan tidak kesedaran
relakan bencana datang melanda kemuliaan
usah disambut andai datang membawa kehancuran
---

dan ada pula siksaan yang lebih dahsyat akan diberikan kepada wanita terpelajar andainya mereka tidak menghayati apa yang mereka pelajari. Allah berfirman;

"Kecelakaan yang besarlah bagi tiap tiap orang yang banyak berdusta lagi banyak berdosa. Dia mendengar ayat ayat Allah yang dibacakan kepadanya, kemudian dia tetap menyombong dan seakan akan dia tidak mendengarnya; Maka beri khabarlah dia dengan azab yang pedih".  (Surah Jathiyah; Ayat 7-8)

*diam*

dan ada pula golongan yang berpendapat bahawa Allah tidak memaksa sesiapa malahan memberi kuasa kepada manusia untuk memilih. Jika ada syariat Islam yang sesuai dengan kehendaknya, boleh dikerjakan. jika tidak ada, bole ditinggalkan begitu sahaja. Allah berfirman;

Allah berfirman;

---

I refused to write it down because it's the scariest thing I've ever read.

"Wanita itu fitnah dunia"

*diam*

*crying*

To my beloved readers, I mean no harm. I did not mean to insult anyone nor pinpoint anybody in this entry. This is merely my story and things I'd like to share.

Dear Wanita wanita beriman, I love you guys so much, that is why I write this. "Don't Waste Your Pretty", Afterall, our bodies are borrowed from Allah and borrowed things have to be returned, accordingly.

Ambillah jiwa yang suci
lengkapkan pula budi pekerti

**Thank You Wanie, for the book, May God bless you :)

The Land Down Under

These past 2 weeks, I've been bombarded by series of events. some are good, some are like you've been thrown by ice to your face. Ouch! and times like these, made you realized how much you miss the Land Down Under.

Yep, I do miss Perth, Western Australia, Australia sometimes. but I'm not going to blog on Perth nor Australia, but I'd like to say that not only I've got my certificate with me, I tagged along some experiences in life, I could not find anywhere else in the world. and I've been blessed by given the opportunity to explore it.  It's true when they said, you can see Islam in the western countries, because I've seen it myself. I'm not going to brag on Australia, but if you have the opportunity to go out from your country for awhile, you'd realize how fortunate you are to have people that you love surrounding you and the things you've been complaining wasn't that a big of deal, and yeah! Australia is such a nice and beautiful country to visit :) Thank you Allah for the opportunity You've given me.

and of course, when I do miss Perth, besides, keeping in touch with friends and family in Perth, I'd watch this one particular video. and I'd laugh myself out and cried a little. If you happen to know Australia, you'd probably get the joke, and excuse me for the language, hope you'd enjoy the video as much as I do :)

and these few days, I've been following, if you've heard him before matluthi90, he happens to be an archi student in my former Uni, Curtin Uni of Tech, WA, if I'm not mistaken. unfortunately, after watching several videos of him, made me miss Perth, even more.

Ah! I miss Perth! :P
missing Perth leads me to fill up a form that I think would change my life once again. Kalau ada rezeki, ada lah :)

Kalau ada rezeki, ada kelapangan, ada umur yang panjang, go travel and see the world, SubhanAllah, you'll be surprise, what you'll get.

I do love my country very much, don't get me wrong, but...

Oh! fly me to the land far far away, even if it's a dream :)

One fine day, I'll show you, whoever you are, the place that taught me life is freaking hard, but pleasant at the same time. I've got to show Mummy and Daddy last time, this is the place, that taught me things I've now become, this is the place where I used to study, this is the place where I play and eat and go to sleep, this is the place that gives me comfort, this is the place where I'd like to shop..and this is the place I fell in love.

Take care everyone! No worries, mate :)

Malaysia, you've got idea, how much I love you!

But the best part of missing Australia is that missing this kid, from crying, sulking-moments, potty training to now I could jump on her bed and talk girlie stuffs with her. How time flies.

Lat Kampung Boy Sebuah Muzikal

Last night, April 2nd, 2011, Saturday, went to Istana Budaya with 6 other pretty girls, to watch Lat Kampung Boy Sebuah Muzikal. This was my 3rd time going to IB and 2nd time this year and Lat Kampung Boy Sebuah Muzikal has it's own way in capturing my heart last night. Two words : Super Awesome.

It started when Lat (most probably short form of BU-LAT) at Kampung, who likes to draw whenever and whatever he sees. He's being scolded by his mom because of it, the funniest part when he drew their house atas lantai rumah sendiri, how he adores their house and his kampung very much. His father who has a huge impact on him, likes to bring back used papers so that Lat could draw. His father also taught him that, kaum lelaki harus kuat sebab itu John Wayne tak nangis.

At school, Lat being laughed because of his angan-angan dan berangan. I like the lyrics of the Dalam Gila ada Rahsia when Nora sang the part "Lat, awak ini memang pelik, awak nombor satu bab merepek, hiduplah di dunia nyata, lukisan awak tak kemana". but that doesn't bring him down, he kept on drawing and imagining things, monsters and cowboy.

Luckily, his dad got promoted and they moved to Ipoh. There Lat met some supportive people like Mrs Hew  and his friend, Frankie who supported him and his drawing and they think that Lat can go far with his drawings. One of Mrs' Hew favourite quote is DWYL and LWYD "Do what you love and Love what you do".

Later on he moved to KL and worked at one of the local newspaper and met Pae (Faezah).

the rest of the story you have to watch it for yourself or at least read the comics by Dato' Lat himself.

thumbs up for barisan pelakon and di belakang tabir. you guys rock big times. I really like the joke from Frankie where he said (no offense for orang buta) but he made a joke on orang buta yang bawa kereta di KL and patutlah KL jammed. he probably wanted to say that please be considerate while driving and look right and left.

I also like the part where Frankie said that " you can take the boy out of the pekan but you cannot take the pekan out of the boy".

Oh! I've got a lot to say. but basically it's about ups and downs of a person's life. How he battled with his own feelings, when his father died, when he met Pae, when he cannot juggle his work and his family and most probably the fame that he got.

Overall, do what you love and love what you do, follow your heart and see where it leads you. at the same time, jangan sampai kacang lupakan kulit.

"Mama, nak kawen dengan budak arts boleh?" :P

L, you will be missed..

Been wanting to write this yesterday *trembling*

---
Yesterday, 15th of December 2010, Wednesday was the day, my last day at work at L. *sobs*

I first came to L, in 2007, before furthering studies in Perth. Even though it was for a short period of tyme, I've learn that money do not grow on trees, you have to earn it, but therefore, if you've already earn it doesn't mean that you'll need to spend it, keep it some, for future. I was blessed for having that opportunity working there.

Then, this year, I came to L for the second time, not knowing what to expect. All I know that L has a project similar to my studies and I could give and take something for that.

At first I was a bit blur with the project itself, and what I've been taught in Perth, doesn't match at all, with what they all practice here in L. and of course I was mad and disappointed. but I wish that the project will be succeed eventually. All they need to do is believe in what they do and make it happen.

I don't hate L. not at all. some may think I do hate L, but honestly I don't. Yeh! of course it was a bitter sweet journey there. I have my ups and downs there. but I don't hate L. not at all.

My mom said that if I haven't been working there, I might not have met the person's in charge of the project and will not be able to finish up my thesis. and I think she's right. Thank you L, for helping me for that.

I've met so many wonderful people along the way. and experienced so many happy and sad moments together. and I hope it doesn't stop here, keep in touch and all the best.

I seriously don't know what the future holds for everyone else but everything happens for a reason.

Yeh! started to miss L already. L! you will be missed. thank and sorry for everything.

When you least expect something, you've got more than that. for me, I've got more than just working there. :)

OK! now I need a new job, career to be exact. thank you very much. Rezeki Allah ada di mana mana insyaAllah, pray for me guys.

Natrah 2

Went to IB (Istana Budaya) last night to watch Natrah Musim ke-2 with Atie and Daddy. It was freaking awesome. Dad was hesitate at first to go with us and tot he might fell asleep during the show but he ended up liking it as much as we all do. He did not sleep at all during the show and I can tell he's happy because he was smiling all the way by the time he enters IB. Plus we've got the best seats in the world to watch Natrah and Maya Karin is so gorgeous. Thanks Atie and Dad for teman-ing me, glad you guys had a wonderful night watching it. It has been a dream come true watching it at IB. thanks again :)

Natrah. Siapa tak kenal dengan Natrah? Jiwanya yang penuh rahsia. I was first introduced to Natrah by mom. Mom told me about her tragic stories on how Natrah was adopted by the Malay named Aminah who taught her Islam and when how her real family wanted to take her back. I cried when I heard about it. I never knew justice can be real unfair sometimes.

I did not get the chance to watch it last year, perhaps I was still in Australia at that time. but I managed to watch it at RTM and after watching it I was hoping that someday I will get to see it too. I also wish that perhaps one day it will be a film on Natrah itself.

Me and officemates went to Arkib Negara somewhere this year to do some research on our project when I came across Natrah's book and ended up finding a corner to sit and read it whilst everyone's doing their job. The book basically a collection of letters Natrah wrote to her husband (Mansor) and Mansor wrote back to Natrah. Oh! how I wish to go back to Arkib Negara and re-read it again :)

To those who hasn't get the chance to watch Natrah, the show will be extended to 7th of December 2010. and to those who has watch it, I bet you all love it as much as I do.

IB has the coolest people in the whole wide world, till we meet again :)

Natrah: Cinta, perjuangan dan air mata.

It's Been Awhile: Broga Hills, Semenyih.

Last weekend on Sunday, me and SDI people went hiking at Broga Hills, Semenyih ;) It wasn't really a well-planned event nor an impromptu trip but it just happened. At first we wanted to go there early in the morning to have a view of the sunrise at the top of the hill but it rained cats and dogs so we postponed the trip exactly after Subuh Prayer around 6 a.m. 3 cars altogether...

Here's a sneak preview of the Broga Hills. Broga Hills situated in Broga, a small town that sits at the border of two states; Selangor and Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia. Broga falls under mukim (sub-district) of Semenyih in the Hulu Langat district. It took us about 15 minutes and so to get there from Bandar Baru Bangi. It was approximately 45 minutes to get to the first peak of the Broga Hills, altogether 4 peaks. And the distance is about 1.7 km.

Actually it's been awhile since I last went hiking. So it really brings back memories way back to UPM time. We were so-called FORESTERs at that time. Personally I think I should shed some calories and I reckon the easiest way to do so are by exercising, climbing, walking, jogging, hiking, swimming and moving and things like that - you get the idea. So guys, where we're up to next time? ;)

Here are some of the pictures taken during the event. It was breathtaking, SubhanaAllah~ So it's true when one says Life is a climb, the view is beautiful. Although some says to hike Broga Hills wasn't that tough and pretty short in term of the distance but you'll might be surpised by the amazing view. Half of the Broga Hills are covered by 'lalang' and the locals also called it Bukit Lalang. To get there you'll need to pass through palm oil plantation, then half of the hills are forest and the rest is 'lalang'.

We managed to be at the first lookout point at around 8.30 a.m and we can see most of the whole Town of Semenyih. It seemed to be a very famous place to go to do recreational, nowadays. But make sure you at least eat something and do warmups before you hike. ;) It was pretty sunny up the hill and after a few minutes enjoying the view, taking up pictures, we decided to head to Sungai Tekala, had our lunch and enjoying the nature. Despite of the aching, the pain, the sweat, the hard times climbing Broga, it was a splendid trip altogether. Advisable, you guys should go there too. And make sure you do not litter your used water bottle, food etc into the forest. Sayangi lah Hutan Kita~

It's been a pleasure knowing these girls~ ;)
We're on TOP OF THE WORLD~

Kuching...I'm In Love

Just got back from Sarawak Bumi Kenyalang ;)
I'm loving it every bits of the city. bersih, lawa, sangat. no wonder been awarded as 'Healthy City'.

---
Reminds me A lot of a city that I miss ;)
Kalau nak compare bandar bandar di Malaysia, Kuching lebih kurang Malacca - my opinion lah.
sebab millions may have been to the same spot, but no two souls are ever impacted in exactly the same way - believe me!

Ah! I love Kuching ;)

---
It has been an amazing experience for me and I believe to semua orang yang terlibat.
I know, I'm not here to change the world, that would be impossible and I'd go crazy.
So these are the least I can do ;)

I hope the outcome of the project will change abit/alot to the only thing that I've been fighting for, Malaysia has been fighting for, the world has been fighting for - POVERTY.

Faith. having faith.

Malaysia has so much to offer, believe me, so much!
Kau nak kain songket pergi ke Terengganu and Sarawak sebut sahaja which tribe you nak.
kau nak pemandangan lawa? MasyaAllah Kedah negeri Hijau belaka, kiri kanan sawah padi, Sabah pon apa kurangnya.
Kau nak makanan murah? Kelantan kau dapat makan nasi Kerabu tambah milo ais lagi RM2 setengah je.
kau nak bangunan tinggi tinggi cakar langit? Ah! kau tahu mana mahu pergi!
Kau mahu carik hantaran pengantin? along Gambir Street banyak, kau pilih sahaja.

Tak perlulah terlalu mengagongkan dua negara ini In*** dan Si**, tak perlulah. Malaysia has so much to offer ;)

Kalau di beri peluang kedua untuk re-do this project. I'd love to, I wanna see more, I wanna see Malaysia more. Terima Kaseh beri saya peluang ini ;)

Conclusion- nya " Berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul ".
Tp Ringan sama dijinjing, berat sama dipikul rite? kita kan 1Malaysia. hi5 sikit ;)

Hope you'll njoy the clip ;)

Serunding anyone?

Surprise! I've told you earlier that I will update you guys with some yummy-lious updates. So here goes.

---
Start off, I am helping out the Uni and AIM (stands for Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia) and also EPU (Economic Planning Unit) doing a survey on Urban/ Rural Poverty in Malaysia. yep you heard me, whole Malaysia. AIM is giving away pinjaman berupa $$$ to those yang unfortunate enuff. In return they have to at least have a project or business to pay back AIM. YEP kita perlu usaha sendiri, tp we can't help it, some people just can't afford it.

**bersyukur**

---

When I was doing the survey, asking them questions and see it for myself how they live...

There, when a makcik approached me asked for my help.

I'm now helping her jual Serunding to help her pay back AIM. Ada Daging, Ayam dan Ikan.
