Random

You took your coat off and stood in the rain, you're always crazy like that

You were fashionably sensitive, but too cool to care.

You're always brilliant in the morning, smoking your cigarettes and talking over coffee

As I clumsily strummed my guitar.

Well, excuse me, guess I've mistaken you for somebody else, somebody who gave a damn, somebody more like myself.

and Your thoughtless words...

You took your coat off, stood in the rain, you're always crazy like that.

I got my maple syrup, everything but you.

I break the yolks, make a smiley face.

Dreams last for so long, even after you're gone.

I know you love me, and soon you will see

you were meant for me, and I was meant for you.

So I picked up a paper, it was more bad news, more hearts being broken or people being used.

put on my coat in a pouring rain, I saw a movie and it wasn't the same.

cause it was happy and I was sad

It made me miss you oh so bad.

I go about my business, I'm doing just fine.

Besides what would I say if I had you on the line?

Same old story, not much else to say

hearts are broken, everyday.

I'm half alive but I feel mostly dead.

I try and tell myself it'll be alright.

I just shouldn't think anymore tonight.

cause dreams last for so long even after you're gone

I know, I know that you love me and soon I know you will see

You were meant for me and I was meant for you.

Yeh..you were meant for me and I was meant for you.

On Your Mark, Get Set, GO!

One random afternoon, my mom and I sat in our living room. I looked at her, she looked really tired. I smiled and asked her something;

"Mama, kita akan berjumpa dengan Rasulullah di Padang Mahsyar nanti dan mendapat syafaat Baginda SAW?"

*Mama looked at me silently, and I did not get the answer for that*

As I never give up, I asked her again, this time I asked;

"Mama, kita akan berjumpa dengan Rasulullah di akhirat kelak nanti? dapat bercakap dengan Baginda SAW, dapat melihat wajah Baginda SAW?"

*diam, still no answer from her*

Finally I asked;

"Mama, kita akan masuk Syurga Allah bersama sama dengan Baginda Rasulullah SAW?"

*bergenang air mata, because I felt, that is something impossible*

then mama said to me, banyaklah Selawat ke atas Nabi SAW dan berzikir kepada Allah.

Times like this, I really wish I could go back to Tanah Suci dan merasakan diri ini sangat dekat padaNya and at the same time, merasakan dunia ini amat jauh sekali.

"Tenang dan Bahagia"

Too many things left unsaid, terlalu banyak benda yang hendak diceritakan, terlalu banyak sesalan, terlalu banyak pengharapan, terlalu banyak permintaan, terlalu kerdil diri ini, terlalu banyak...

"Rindu"

I talked to a friend 4 nights ago, and he said one place he wanted to go is Makkah.

I smiled and I felt the whole world is smiling too.

As I looked back, 2 months ago and 20 years back, I couldn't ask for more. Thank you Allah for making me as I am now.

Let go of the past; bertaubat.

Ya Rabb, make me a better muslim, everyday...

Sahabat-sahabat, tolong tegur mana mana yang salah :)

Indeed, life is about making choices, and you only have 2 choices; Syurga dan...

and the choices we made in life, have to be based on Al-Quran and As-Sunnah :)

There's nothing impossible. Mari perbaiki diri :)

Here's a clip to ponder :)

Ya Rabb, thank you...

Sayangnya Nabi kepada kita, sehingga waktu kewafatan Nabi, Kekasih Allah itu masih menyebut; Umatku, Umatku, Umatku...

M41

"M 41"

"Sulit dan Persendirian"

"Buku Pink; Malaysia Kita"

I've never been to any of the M41 exams before in my entire life; believe it or not. Today marked the first time in my life entering the exam hall for the M41 post. Probably people my age has sat for the exams for 5 times, more or less. I've received many invitations for the exam before and for other posts, but I was at Australia at that time :(

I was pretty excited actually even though I'm not fully prepared for the exam today. I've heard so much about the exam, whenever people talked about it, I would keep quiet and listen on how they said it was pretty difficult, about the Pink Book, about chances of people passing the exams or even the interview and also about people just won't give up even though they failed the exams. Secretly I would go to the Book Fair and buy the Pink Book and prayed at least to experience sitting for the exam and today my wish came true :)

I was lucky I guess, because the venue for my exam was at Hall 7, PICC, Putrajaya. It was not crowded, the place was air conditioned and comfortable. Overall, I guess, after waiting for 3 years to sit for the exam, I would conclude that the exam was okay, and yes difficult and yet confusing.

It started at 9 a.m in the morning and it ended at 3.30 p.m in the afternoon. It has 5 sections; A, B, C, D and E.

Section A (60 questions) normally covers General Knowledge and EVERYTHING about Malaysia. Yeh, you can say that I was ashamed to be called Malaysian because I find this section very hard :P

Section B (40 questions) covers on Penyelesaian Masalah. It was pretty easy actually but most of the candidates including me said that we don't have enough time to answer all questions.

Section C (20 questions) covers Pemahaman. They will give you essays in Malay and English; all you need to do is to answer 20 questions based on those essays given.

Section D requires you to write an essay in Malay. they will give you 3 questions, and you can only choose 1 out of 3 and write an essay between 300-500 words.

Section E requires you to write an essay in English. They will then give you 3 questions, and you need to choose only 1 out of 3 and write an essay between 200-300 words.

Alhamdulillah I managed to experience sitting for the exam. Now I know pretty much what they've been talking about :) I really wanted to experience sitting for this exam because most probably I always imagine sitting for this exam has similarity with the olden chinese sit for public servant exam that they showed in television. The ones that get through the exams must be pretty good. oh! I just watch too much television :(

Whatever happens...happens. Wish me all the best  :)

Oh! I've met familiar faces, not only 1 but plenty. some Bangians and also UPMians :) I wish them all the best as well.  I wish all of them, All the Best. Some of them, really wanted to work in government sectors specifically PTD. God's will, insyaAllah :)

Oh! what they normally say "Berkhidmat Untuk Negara" :)

I love you Malaysia, I really do, sorry for not knowing enough bout Malaysia, will try harder next time :)

Luckily it did not happen today :P

Syaaban; Latihan Ramadhan

Syaaban bererti berpecah.

Rasulullah SAW bersabda "Tahukah kamu sekalian, mengapa dinamakan bulan Syaaban?"

Tidak digalakkan untuk berpuasa selepas Nisfu Syaaban kecuali;

1. puasa qadha'
2. puasa kaffarah (puasa bayar)
3. puasa nazar

Here I'd like to share 12 Rasulullah's favourite foods (taken from iluvislam.com)

1. Milk - wipes away heat from the heart just as the finger. It strengthens the back, improves the brain, renews vision and drives away forgetfulness. Sunah Rasulullah meminum susu unta :)

2. Honey - is a remedy for every illness and the Quran is the remedy of every illness of mind; the Quran and Honey.

3. Figs - If I(Bukhari) had to mention a fruit that descended from paradise I would say this because the paradisacal fruit do not have pits and eat from these fruits to prevent hemorrhoids, piles and gout

4. Dates - whoever takes 7 ajwa dates (Kurma Nabi) in the morning will not be effected by magic poison of the day. Rasulullah SAW bersabda " that a house without dates has no food"

5. Barley - good in fever while used in soup form.

6. Melon - none of your women who are pregnant and eat of water melon will fail to produce off spring that is good in countenance and good in character

7. Grapes - it purifies the blood, provides vigor and health, strengthens the kidneys and clear the bowels

8. Mushrooms - is a good cure for the eyes

9. Pomegranate - cleanses you of Syaitan and evil aspiration for 40 days

10. Vinegar - Rasulullah SAW used to eat with olive oil.

11. Olive oil - important for skin and hair treatment, delay old age and treats inflammation of the stomach

12. Water - the best drink in this world, when you are thirsty, drink it by sips not gulps, gulping produce sickness of the liver.
Air zam zam :)

"Memakan makanan yang elok akan menjadikan kita elok/baik insyaAllah" :)

"Sesiapa yang masih belum habis mengganti puasa, gantilah cepat, Ramadhan is just around the corner" :)

"Moga kita semua peroleh Syurga Allah pada hari Nisfu Syaaban ketika buku catatan amalan kita di angkat ke langit, ameen" :)

Kuala Terengganu

3 days 2 nights, from 11-13th of July.

I was pretty excited because this is the first time (exclude childhood) traveling by road to Pantai Timur. I also was super excited because this is actually the first time me and my BFF traveling together, vacationing (exclude the seminar).

BFF has a Conference at Kuala Terengganu and 2 of us just tagged along. Thanks to both BFF for the ride and for the opportunity to visit the city of Kuala Terengganu :)

Day 1. We started off early in the morning. Alhamdulillah everything went well. We stopped by at Dungun to drop off adik ipar BFF. Then first thing we did when we arrived at KT was; service the car. It was actually kind of cool because you need some padding for the car to avoid the car from rusty (air pantai). We did not have that at Klang Valley so I was pretty amazed and the services was good. Around 3p.m we managed to check in at the Citi Point Hotel near Pasar Payang. finding a parking spot here in KT was a bit difficult. I reckon, every city is like that nowadays. In my opinion, KT is a well-planned city, surrounded by many traffic lights and U-turns. I've been to KT, 3 years ago and I found that KT this time is a bit cleaner than the last time I went there. then, later in the evening, we went to Kuala Ibai, near Masjid Terapung where we had our dinner.

It was scrumptious. The best Bukak Puasa so far tapi tak boleh lawan Melaka :P We went straight away to sleep after we watched Juvana basically because KT was dead at nights.

Day 2. We had our Nasi Dagang (bungkus dengan daun pokok pisang) and Keropok Lekor at Pasar Payang but we did not have luck on Kuih Akok. maybe next time. After that, we went straight away to Permai Hotel for the conference.

BFF with her Poster

too scientific

Apparently missing KL

BFF was a bit frustrated by the look at her face. It's okay, everything has to have a first time. better luck next time, insyaAllah. So, we decided to go to Noor Arfa Batik and UMT as a tour.

Pantai UMT

We love each other, dunia akhirat :)

"Si Permai" :P

"Si Pembuli" :P

Sad face for not having to buy anything at Noor Arfa Batik :(

Blub..blub..blub

Luckily,  later that evening, we visited BFF's auntie, we had our dinner and had a very good time :) since I was pretty bored that night, so we played Truth or Dare. overall, we really had fun during a short period of time.

Day 3. The last day at Kuala Terengganu. We did our last shopping at Pasar Payang. I bought Manggis (my favourite) and pretty much that's about it. but I was amazed because when we had our tour at Pasar Payang, there were a bunch of young girls from Jabatan Agama Islam giving advices on Zakat. It was really hard to say goodbye because we were having so much fun. So If you ever come to KT and looking for a budget hotel, Citi Point Hotel wasn't that bad. What I like the most about this hotel is that they have friendly, well-versed in English, Mandarin, Malay person who is pretty much very good at the job. we paid our compound for the parking (they charged us RM5 for parking at buses' parking) and pretty much bidding our farewell at 12 noon.

but on our way back to KL we experienced some bias towards W plate. and I personally think that's not fair. but yeh! nothing is fair in this world, only Allah is fair. We stopped at Dungun to buy our Keropok Lekor at SRI SURA, stopped at Pantai Kemasik for the air kelapa and we managed to stop at Gambang for Ikan Patin and to Solat. it took us basically 10 hours to get to Bangi but I reckon BFF did a great job on that.

I'll always love pantai/laut/sungai/pulau :)

"Ombak Rindu"

It was unforgettable vacation. I hope this is the first and not the last time we had our vacation together. perhaps Redang after this? I love you guys so much and thank you for EVERYTHING! :) Only Allah will re-pay you guys :)

The Land Before Time

I always love traveling. Berkelana di bumi Allah. Probably people would relate traveling as vacation, peace of mind, or perhaps running away for a while from your so called life. I used to think that way, when I have problems I don't intend to solve it, I would really like to go somewhere else for awhile, just for a peace of mind. but now I know that the truth hurts only if you run away from it. I reckon that, you could travel the world but you cannot run away from what's inside your heart. In my case, "What a small world" describes me well. normally where ever I go, I'd meet people who is related to a thing, a place, a person I know or I used to know. Everything would revolve around my small world :)

Alhamdulillah, God's will, on the 6-8th of July, me and my cousin went to Belum Forest, Pulau Banding, Gerik, Perak. It was actually a dream come true because I always wanted to go there and enjoy the forest.

Besides, reciting the Quran, for the peace of mind I reckon you either enjoying the environment or helping strangers. and I am so grateful I've got the chance to do either of that last week :)
---

I've learnt a lot from the Emkay's Green Ranger Movement Convention. One of it was that through education we can educate our youngsters to love our forest. education here doesn't mean, one to one communication, doesn't mean either teaching in classes, you really need to go out to the forest to be able to love and appreciate it. Forest doesn't mean DANGER at all. and letting our youngsters even the old ones to enjoy the forest is the best place ever and it was like heaven on earth.

There, in the forest, you can learn where your water source came from, why we need to preserve our natural resources and why the forest is so important to us in the present and also the future. One day, if we destroy our forest, human will be extinct too and I don't think any of us would love that to happen. so each and everyone of us played an important role in educating people to love our forest.

The best part of the convention was we were able to go into the forest and enjoy the scenery. Subhanallah. The water is forever ph 7 and the clean air and the flora and fauna surrounded and even the native people in the forest and.. yeh! we didn't get to see Mr. Elephant but we can see some foot prints along Sungai Enam. Unfortunately, due to some time constraint, we did not get the chance to go and see the waterfalls.

If you were to ask, I'd say this whole thing "it brings back memories" when I was in UPM. Where we used to go into the forest for amali and camping in the forest for 2 weeks. at that time, I hated the forest but truth to be told "tak kenal maka tak cinta" I fell in love immediately with the forest.

Other than that, being able to mingle around with others, I've got to know other people, from a painter to a well-knowledgable boat man. I was blessed, thank you :)

This is the whole Pulau Banding

This is where we stayed for 2 nights, Belum Rainforest Resort

This is the Research Centre

It is stated that Belum is not "The Land before Time", Belum got its name from; A grasshopper.
---
Thank you for the hospitality, thank you for the warmth welcome, thank you for the kindness, thank you for the care and thank you for EVERYTHING, kalau ada jodoh lagi, till we meet again, one fine day, InsyaAllah.. any takers?

Malaysia's rainforest has so much to offer, and I don't think even YOU have explored it, please do not destroy our forest, please~ :)
